At 12:45 PM ET, President Trump announced a ban on institutional purchases of single-family homes. 5 minutes later, Blackstone's stock was down -9%, erasing -$17 BILLION in market cap on the day.

What makes trading almost impossible is a day like today, AWFUL JOLTS data comes out at 10 AM, and you intially get a little flush shortly after. So as a trader youre thinking, " okay, market has been rallying hard to start the year, but this data is showing a weakening job market, that should effect stocks", the market proceeds to buy every siingle dip in seconds and tech is rallying hard today. What makes it impossible is the fact that you never know when the market will take bad news as bad news and when it will rally on bad data because it menas more interest rate cuts.
