If you consider the potential loss of market and set that in relation to the market cap, so far the drawdown was microscopic. And that´s what has been argued repeatedly. It´s not about google, not about deep seek or AMD. It´s about the fact that Nvidia is overvalued as it is, but if there is any real competition arising in the next five years, it may still be a booming company, but worth a fraction of it´s current price. And that is just one risk factor.

AMD feels like they're even more exposed to TPUs than NVDA... AMD was supposed to be 2nd in a 2 man race winning some level of market share that NVDA left on the table, but now they could be 4th (GOOGL/AMZN coming in hot with TPUs).

if you have been paying attention, RDDT took the hit with META and now recovering, and now AMD is taking the "hit" with NVDA and they will soon recover as well, it's very obvious and it's funny to see AMD going to sub 200$. in few month META will be 900$+ this is not a financial advice but i see it as a discount

I would...both are great and doing well in other avenues...the AI chip war is just beginning, it will be in the long run who actually captured the AI essence of it all.  For that reason, NVDA should be above 200 and higher and AMD as well...they overkilled these stocks...

He's not wrong. The moat is really deep, of course, but PyTorch and Tensorflow make it easier to target AMD chips. We already saw what one AI company did to get around CUDA that disrupted the market this year. It's just not going to be this week or next.

Being better for big workloads is really something that needs to be proved. Also, I can see Nvidia releasing some alternative as a response to their competitors. They did that with AMD more than once. The AI chip war is about to get VERY interesting

TPUs are like playing videogames with your integrated GPU. It works but it is crappy as hell. For the good stuff you need a proper GPU (AMD or Nvidia one). The benchmarking war will start now and we will see Nvidia doing everything they can to trash them with numbers. Before this dump they wouldn’t care, now they have an enemy to beat. Having said that: Nvidia monopoly is meant to end at some point. But I don’t think TPUs are the ones going to do that.

So if OpenAI is maybe dead money we need to price in someone else winning the AI race and all of those OpenAI imagination money mega deals potentially getting rolled back. That's the pain in AMD and MSFT and a lot of the data center names.

If AMD can't get a piece of NVDA's market share because of software then why would GOOG be able to? It's not going to affect NVDA in any way.
