As a GOOGL call holder, I feel it needs to be said that TPUs are an ASIC and are fundamentally different from Nvidia GPUs. This is not a direct competition. NVDA demand far outpaces supply and all this means is that companies will use TPUs to fill the gap between NVDA supply and market demand instead of AMD. This is far more bearish for AMD than NVDA. NVDA calls, AMD puts. Book it.

You can choose to overcomplicate trading by trying to time entry into stocks that have zero momentum like nvda or msft or oracle etc or you could just simplify things by simply buying the hottest stock of the month and holding until momentum fades like AMD last month and GOOG this month. The key is to fully understand when momentum has faded and that a new stock has taken the crown the next month.

feel like a deep seek moment, which turns out to be a nothing burger 4 months later. The same thing happen when openAI partner with amd and boardcom, drop 2% then completely forgotten about by the market one month later. It's just really vulnerable to fud for the flimsiest of reason due to it being market leader.

$2,000 for a 5090, and that's just the joke MSRP price. $500+ on top of that in actual retail just to run modern un-optimized games that look shittier than ever with no soul in them. Mark my words, Nvidia will be humbled and selling its top tier graphics card for a fraction of that cost in <5 years. 3DFX remembers. Edit: TLDR: AMD Radeons were the premier bitcoin miners at first, but AMD's not the "Nvidia of Bitcoin mining" now though.

True, but they lack versatility and performance when compared to Nvidia chips. For an independent AI data center provider, Nvidia and/or AMD chips are a must, at least for now. For a company’s internal use, after the AI model is already trained, TPUs and other ASIC chips are more cost effective. Even the original news report specifically said Alphabet is pitching this to customers who need to have on-site AI processors due to security and regulatory requirements, such as trading firms.

Wall street is in full pig mode. Conservative 401k's are stuck since october. Nearly every option (99%) issued in the past 3 months has expired for less than what it was sold for with a few freaky exceptions on AMD and Kenvue wherin there was basically no volume beforehand anyway. The stocks that jump up are doing so overnight or pre-market and none are holding up (just to inflate iv and milk it on down). If you step back and look at the bigger picture the whole market is trading like a penny stock now, with the exception of bank stocks like wells fargo and jp morgan which are freakishly stable.

While the benefits will be widespread, companies like Nvidia, Oracle, Dell, AMD, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) have been specifically mentioned as expected to play a role... * **Nvidia**: Nvidia has already announced partnerships with the Department of Energy to expand AI and quantum computing research, which includes developing new supercomputers with its AI chips at federal research facilities. This makes it a primary beneficiary as demand for its specialized AI hardware is a key component of the mission. * **Oracle**: Mentioned as one of the companies expected to play a role in the Genesis Mission. Oracle provides cloud and data solutions that can help manage the vast federal datasets the mission plans to utilize. * **Dell**: Expected to play a role in providing hardware and infrastructure. * **AMD**: Expected to be involved, likely through providing high-performance computing components and processors. * **Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)**: Expected to contribute with its expertise in enterprise computing, servers, and high-performance computing solutions. Federal Contracts: The companies will likely secure significant government contracts to supply the necessary hardware (chips, servers, supercomputers), software, and cloud services for the AI experimentation platform.
