2022 was about the market fearing that apple had locked meta out if tracking people. in fact what apple did was to ensure that tracking was harder for small apps, easier for behemoth like meta.

I still don't know what Meta's AI play is. Like, I guess they have integration with their apps now, but who actually uses that compared to the main players?

Meta is definitely big player in the space. But it seems they are trying to get the best deal (paypal rather than visa/mastercard) with a smaller company that will support huge programming infrastructure change to intergrate into Openai app. Meta has competitive incentive to keep users on its own apps. That’s why I thought they will go for B-list social media company

Is anyone familiar with "everything apps"? Like WeChat I guess. OpenAI is clearly going to try and be an everything-app with the PYPL partnership, which partnerships does it need to pursue to do more of that? I guess UBER is next, but I can't come up with anything else. The usual setup is rideshare/delivery/basic finance. EBay integration up next? EV charging could be up, but that's a down-the-line kind of thing.

Evidently a lot of people that sell use something that is on AWS. I sold a number of stocks that finally went up this morning and made almost $800. Those same stocks, once AWS started coming back up and people could get on their brokerage apps all took a nose dive. Can we schedule another AWS outage tomorrow when the market opens? I have one more stock I need to get rid of.

I work for the state and we use Amazon Web services for hosting and apparently all our apps are down. We can’t do anything. Probably related to the issues that are happening.
