Cost of living improvement is great and all, but nyc already depends heavily on the uber wealthy for the bulk of their taxes, who are mostly conservative if not for tax reasons. It's going to be interesting to see if new york can keep a balance on its horniness for massive taxing and funding and keeping its rich people appeased. Push too far, and rich people will simply leave bc they are rich enough to do so
