People betting on for example BTC aren't necessarily saying the dollar disappears. they just want to hold an asset that the government can't print into oblivion, while the business world keeps running on whatever the legal tender is. So whatever the legal tender is, is how Microsoft is measured in.

Companies will always be measured in whatever is most stable at the time. If the dollar keeps inflating, eventually measuring Microsoft in BTC might actually make more sense.
