How quickly are your funds settles when selling a stock? I trade through my Chase bank app (terrible, I know, but it’s where my IRA is). Last week I sold some shares to buy into BYND. I bought in at $7 and put a stop loss in at $5. Well, we all know what happened and I hit my sell price pretty quickly. The next day I got an email stating that *a security was purchased with unsettled funds and sold prior to the settlement of those funds*. If you use a platform like Robin Hood, are your funds quickly available after a sell or does it take some time?
