Tariff reduce competition, so there is no longer incentive to drop price. Dont expect the increase profit to trickle down to higher wage.

As a reminder, Fed has never cut rates during a government shutdown. They always hold off until the government reopens, and now it looks like they won't reopen anytime soon, at least not until November.
