So looking at GLD, there was a peak when 2008 happened, a similar peak when Covid happened, and we are currently 3-4x higher than both of those peaks.

I have a hunch the US just manipulated the market and had Bezos shutdown AWS so that the US could put all their money into GLD and SPY. Preparing for a future war in precious metals, and therefore hedging the future. Sure, AWS made everyone lose millions maybe even a few billion, but in the grand scheme -- they probably are saving trillions and banking trillions.

I have yet to see someone provide good reasoning on why to short GLD. Plenty of equities hit ATH and then continue to blow through them. What’s the difference with any other appreciating asset? (I am in GLD to the fucking chin BTW)
