No, because the spot price determine the price of GLD, doesn't matter if you buy GLD, you buying shares of ownership of the gold reserve that the trust owns. Gold will correct for sure it will correct on the upside because the world is getting off the dollar standard. Central Banks around the world are buying gold because trades will likely be settled in gold again not in dollars. US debt is now unpayable and its interest payment has hit $1 Trillion per year and climbing. Just wait til the Fed has to lower interest rate and do QE because the economy is in trouble from the high tariffs, you will see how fast gold will climb and how fast countries will dump the dollar.
