Day 360 of me hoping that GLD will close higher than TSLA. The fact that they are so close today is usually a good indicator that TSLA will rip and GLD will dump, because Elon solved world peace or something.

Goog has been on sale for a year. Still on sale, but not as much. Hopefully you have been buying. My biggest holding along with gld. 70%,stock in each and 30% leaps. I think I will have the leaps for 4-6 Months to hit 50% gains, and it takes 45-60 days and I sell and then buy back on the next pullback.

Depends on refunds. If the money had to be refunded, there would be a lot of turmoil and money printing which means GLD would rocket. Even if no refunds, tariffs getting struck down will cause uncertainty, so GLD may still go up. Oh and yes, equities would likely go up too due to refunds.

Tariffs pulled will mean what for GLD ? Surely gold would drop if tariffs taken away, as money floods can into equities?

Nah. IV is too low, so it's not worth it. SLV has an IV of \~65, GLD was only \~20. So I got \~3x the premiums on SLV. I'd have to do this all week with GLD for the same amount I made in a single day with SLV. Only do it on high(er) IV things -- otherwise it doesn't make sense. I tend to look for IV > 50, ideally over 70 to play.

Also are you doing the same with GLD or other precious metals?

Never sell covered calls on metals. They only go up 200% every day with no pullbacks. Haven't regretted a covered call on something this bad since last year with GLD. $900 gain on SLV unrealized right now...sold a 66.5 call expiring Friday for $200 feeling like a genius at the time. Roasted and toasted. Womp womp
