IMO 30-60 DTE around 0.3-.35 delta will provide good protection. If you want to protect against bigger moves only then buy 0.2-0.25 delta.

How do you handle this scenario? I had a stop/loss on a LLY option at 4. It closed at 7. Overnight there was a drop in LLY price. This morning Etrade exercised the stop loss at .01 making it worthless. I held 1 which opened at 2.33. IMO etrade exercised the price of .01 before pricing was released. There is usually a delay with option pricing. Did i get screwed?

POET is a garbage company with hype and vaporware imo. I've got leaps on it that I revenge sell every time people hear about it and run it up. Corning is a much better investment for Data Centers compared to Poet Technologies imo. I've been hyping Corning ($GLW) for months at this point.
