Also word of advice. A lot of seasonal warehouse positions get posted for late September and early October to get ahead of Black Friday. So weekly initial jobless claims for these weeks should be substantially lower. The same thing happened last year and in 2023 during September. These are seasonal positions generally get cut after the holidays. This is why we look at continuing claims and BLS non farm payrolls. You get a munch more clear picture

I agree Q2 GDP was a lot of slow consumption reporting from built up inventory to frontrun tariffs. But even averaging the two quarters it all looks totally fine and 3Q is looking awesome.
