it's a lot words for saying we sell optical switch at data center that use mems mirror to direct signal traffic instead of optical to electrical conversion then do electrical switch. Higher upfront cost so unless you are performance constraint and power constraint, it's not worth the effort. Plus total energy consumption wise, the switch part only use about 10% total energy in a data center, rest of is compute and cooling. So it's like you are trying to optimize that tiny part of energy cost. Main draw point is higher bandwidth, about 2-4x. But even at heavy compute level of hyperscaler, it still take a few years to roi back.

i think china is in a strong enough position that even if he 🌮'd out - they still would be better off long term w/o deal. This war has benefited them a lot. The belt and road initiative has really started paying off, countries like Brazil, Argentina , Russia, and even India and Korea are now relying more on china. the trade war has really pushed a bunch of countries a lot closer to china. So on my best day open ai spends $3 on me. I pay $200 for the monthly subscription And 100% nearly everyone uses way less tokens. So a normal person who’s like “why am I bloated” 3 times a day uses <5k token.
