It's a real advantage for GOOGL that MSFT and META report earnings before them. They can study how the market reacted to each of their earnings calls to know how they need to frame their results for maximum pumping.

Most of you youngins dont remember this but i remember when meta hugely pumped in 2023 and the narrative was for “deep value” forgotten lonely old paypal to do the same any day now. I asked myself then what i ask now ,who the fuck uses paypal ?

Market is down like less than 1% from all time highs and yet: MSFT down like 30% from ath, NVDA flat for 7 months+, AMZN flat for like a year+, META swinging like a meme stock, GOOG of all stocks is ripping non-stop and AAPL has been fairly flat and market underperforming. Just weird. Are we shifting to value from growth? Wassup widdit?

Microsofts dip makes absolutely zero sense lol. They beat all earnings, raised guidance. Before you say “they spent too much on openAI/AI” So does Meta and meta went flying.. Google spent $90B on AI during the last year with a whopping $1B in AI revenue (even the Apple deal will only give them another $1B next year) and the stock is at all time highs

Meta make some ground -> lose it all in one day -> spend the next week making that ground back up -> lose it again in one day. Repeat until earnings when it shoots up again -> lose it all in one week.

Yeah, META was also punished for a one time freak EPS drop that normalized and they have revenue growth, like you said. Microsoft needs to show revenue growth from customers buying their AI, which ain’t happening. And OpenAI is about to become a drag for them, when it goes public.

Investors demand results now — capex was validated for Meta because all this AI spending resulted in increased advertising revenue — Microsoft is about enterprise products which have not demonstrated ROI on AI spending
