If META liquidates me on earnings, I’m not coping, I’m documenting history. Zuck will hop on the call in a hoodie, say “AI glasses” like it’s a spell, and the stock will instantly start trading like it’s filing Chapter 11 vibes. Beat EPS? Priced in. Beat revenue? Not enough. Say “investing aggressively”? Market hears “burning money” and presses sell. META won’t go bankrupt because the numbers are bad. It’ll go bankrupt because it margin called too many WSB accounts at the same time and triggered a spiritual SEC investigation. Analysts next morning: “Strong fundamentals.” Stock: -14%. My account: dust. Still holding though. Because selling before earnings would imply self-respect, and I’ve made it clear that’s not part of my strategy. I deserve this.

I buy and hold stock, I don't day trade, I don't fuck with options. My META losses are purely through holding stock, and I've been holding since October. So I'm not some dumbass day trader losing his ass on stupid plays. I do find ASTS's business model interesting, beaming data straight to cell phones anywhere in the world. But, I don't see the demand for it when things like satellite phones exist for hikers out in the middle of no where. Starlink exists for homesteaders out in the mountains. If you need data, there are other ways to do it, ways that have larger more powerful companies backing it. So yeah, seeing ASTS drop 50% shook me a lot. Because any drop could be the final one before the company folds under the pressure of starlink, when you can get insanely fast data speeds with a receiver the size of a notebook.

Just don’t buy options on META and you’re good
