It's not a good reason, but the market has been spooked by how much spending the MAG7 are doing on AI. Without a direct ROI to show for it. I personally think all the spending is fine, I'm not scared of how much AMZN/MSFT/META is spending, but I guess the broader market did.

If someone has a lot of money in a stock in shares, it is better to take the loss and put it to work on a stock that has more promise to gain more quickly. Amzn is not going to be going up for at least a year. Yes, one can tinker around swing trading for pennies. I'm talking about investing large amounts for potential large gains. I got out of Msft and Meta at small losses. Had I not done that, I would have been crushed by now.

I’m saying I’m buying Reddit on Monday btw - grabbed some Microsoft today below $400. But why is META good long term at all? Their innovation falls flat and everything good about them is gained through acquisition. Data privacy laws long term aren’t factored in. Google is the ad giant im heavily invested in. I don’t trust META to execute.

Microsoft is spending a ton of money on an AI platform that no one will use so I don’t know how good it is a long-term over something like META

Buy the semis: MU, Samsung, NVDA, AMD, AVGO, TSM, ASML and dump the hyperscalers AMAZN, META and GOOGL, ORCL. The semis are trading on the valuation that the capex is stagnant but it is accelerating.
