Gotta look at IV and VIX, I have noticed in general premiums have gone up since October, it’s making it harder to make money from options and honestly I’ve switched to holding shares and selling CCs since then because of the high premiums. Although bid/ask spreads seem to be getting kind of stupid so it may be a liquidity issue, or MMs are trying to discourage rampant scalping on options by making the spreads unfavorable for scalpers.

So we open red to get everyone to dump their calls and buy puts. Then sharp reversal so they can close their calls for cheep and collect put premium.
