Down like 150k in the last 1.5 years on aggressive plays so decided not to play with any big money anymore (still have a few hundred k in long term accounts that I’m not touching), so limiting my 0dte plays to an account max of 1-5k and will try to rebuild with whatever is left, which in this case is $900. Not a fun path to go down so that’s why I’m going to first try to get the $900 to 10-20k and then rethink from there (a lot less emotionally difficult when only playing with a small amount so that’s an important consideration as well). Mostly focused on quick ins and outs on spy 0dtes by trying to catch pumps or drops during intraday trading, which I feel is the most reliable but also the riskiest way to get there. Not super into meme stocks or long positions at least with a small account as those are far less predictable.

Who is going to pay the bill on those chips and how are those companies going to pay for them? AI is not on a path to be effectively monetized. AI companies have no moat and there is massive competition. Yeah nvidia is making good money, but how long does that last?

It’s only $900 so not a huge deal. Have real money in long term accounts (low hundred k’s) that I’m not touching plus I’m early in my career and know that I’m on a good path so any money I lose at this stage isn’t the end of the world. Not fun to lose anything and certainly don’t want this to become a gambling problem, but can’t see too much harm in limiting my play money to like 1-5k and if I lose that either stop or just try to rebuild with whatever is left (which is why I’m going to rebuild with the $900 and try to get that to 10k and then use that to make moonshot plays). Managed to do a 30x in a month with a few hundred dollars just as an experiment before losing 90% in one day (putting me back at $900) by consistently clipping 10-50% daily returns without a single loss, so I know that it’s certainly possible. Not easy but possible. Mostly about spotting the right ins and outs (try to catch sudden pumps or drops and rarely hold a position for more than a few minutes). Yes losses do happen and I think the hardest part is knowing when to take them, knowing that a 50-90% loss can easily rebound into a gain (been there before), which is why setting a threshold to take a loss like -30% or -50% is hard. New strategy will probably be to take any gain when it starts dipping even a few cents, even if that gain is only like 5% and maybe set 30-50% as a hard threshold for taking losses (rather than running the risk of letting it go to 90%). We’ll see what happens…
