I worry more that it would have the Tesla effect, where people buy Tesla as a proxy to SpaceX (and we know those people are out there and think like that even though it's not true). I've seen posts over the last few years that say RKLB is like owning a mini SpaceX, so once those people can actually own SpaceX, I'd expect some pressure as they sell out to move

Why exactly do people say a SpaceX IPO will boost ASTS and RKLB? They're different niches of the space industry, but are overall in competition with each other. Seems like another space company would pull potential investment funds away from them.
