Futures seem to be getting nervous about 2 rate cuts - the probability of 25bps in 5 days is still close to 97% but the second cut in December dropped from 94% a week ago to 88%. In a few minutes I'm guessing CPI will show whether that second cut was right to be priced in.

Futures don't seem to care about maple syrup and Canadian bacon. CPI tomorrow probably won't move the needle one way or another though - markets are saying there is a 99% probability of a 25bp cut in 5 days and a 92% chance of another 25bp cut in December so it's already priced in. That said nothing stops the money flows and the dollar devaluation to pay for our $38T debt.
