the amount of silver related stocks that get bought after hours just pisses me off never seen as much FOMO for NVDA or any other stock ever only thing that matters now is debasement trade 6.6 mil shares of SLV alone you know its going up another 10 percent tomorrow

On one end, I want SLV to pump so I can make a profit on my cash secured puts. On the other hand, I want the general market to also pump, so that my total account value doesn't fall enough to trigger a margin call, since I used most of my margin to open those cash secured puts 💀

Its based on the small unlikely risk that we are topping and that SLV crashes soon, if it did I'd break even at 70 or double what I spent on calls at 60 I expect silver to rise, and have DEC 31st calls, so its just to be safe in case there's a crash soon If rise continues I'll be even more hugely profit within a month anyway it won't matter at all to lose the hedge money and even if a drop happens later after more rise I'll already be up so much I'll still be in profit

Does this make sense. I have half port into Dec 31st SLV calls. Big risk for me but confident and have the whole year and already up. To be safe tho I want to put 10% port into shorter dated SLV puts, like wait for SLV to pump tomorrow, then buy puts at the 80 mark for a month out for like $2 each just to be safe in the short term, just in case SLV massively crashes, which seems unlikely, but just to be safe to hedge my big bet (which I expect to massively pay off). However I'm not overly sure, can someone with brain cells provide some genuine advice for me if buying those puts makes sense? Happy to lose that hedge money, because I'll make so much off the calls if the rise continued. Advice would be appreciated, thank you

No. You can't really halt it, the market for silver is traded more broadly than a single ticker on a single exchange so the concept of a halt doesn't apply. I'm not sure if you could have a halt on SLV, probably but that didn't happen today.
