Big tech is hoovering up wealth from the rest of the economy and spunking it on useless sheds in the desert. That's what happens when you allow monopolies to operate unfettered. It must have been obvious to people that paying junior social marketing people several times the average salary was not a sign of a healthy economy but now they are paying AI "experts" actual billions in a pissing competition with no prospect of any return.  Looks to me like a sector that needs to pay *a lot* more tax and be a lot more highly regulated. No surprise they were firehosing money at 🥭's campaign.

Think about all the good stuff yet to come for tech stocks. We got potential for another couple rate cuts, a santa rally, and earnings.

I bought a spy 655/652 spread for 0.55 and an NVDA 180/172.60 spread for 0.87 to hedge, just in case things got bad. I grabbed these an hour after the dump started, no way I would’ve went short at EOD after it dumped so much. I’m hoping for a quick recovery cuz I’m 95% tech calls

Tbh I feel like china had every right to put controls on rare earth imports and exports, and we all could've seen this coming. Now the US is also putting import/export controls on its rare earths, and blaming china for it, but it will likely become the new norm for most countries.. it just makes sense from a futuristic point of view when everything is made from tech and AI data centers. I don't think that policy will be dropped anytime soon by either countries

I’m willing to bet that, although Trump gave insiders a heads up yesterday, the market reacted more negatively than they were expecting. Puts paid and dips were bought but it was bloody. They have today and tomorrow to figure out how to save face before next week bleeds more. I’m buying the dip. Earnings for tech right around the corner, they need to report positive guidance to keep the market up, and Trump needs the market up.
