Exactly, they know the best way to win a war apparently.  Maybe you were confused.  If Iran did actually say they will allow travel in the strait, it's because they are doing the same thing the USA did to them. By saying yes okay we are talking and than attacking, the market gets hit way harder.   Or should I try the even more simpler explanation?

USA has made the same mistake multiple times. They go to war with poor countries. Poor countries are already poor so they don't give a shit. Yeah shit gets worse but they're already used to shitty conditions. But how much "discomfort" can the developed world handle? We all want our $100 flights and 150L gas tank trucks. Dubai wants drinking water. You get into a war of attrition with these guys and they will win. Just like Vietnam did. They will outlast you because they were born into discomfort. It is status quo for them.

There seems to be no way anyone except USA benefits from the war. Scenario A: 🥭 🚀 🇮🇷AN, middle east becomes radio active, no petrol and oil from region for next 100 years, we lose 30-40% of global crude and other oil output. price increases permanently till new supplies comes up from other countries or we shift to other sources. Timeline 2 to 5 years Scenarios B: 🥭 🌮🌮, but 🇮🇷AN still refuses to open the straight coz it gay for gay bears. So short term 20 to 30% oil reduction for 1 years, price increases till they 🐓 out and resume production. DD: So since we lose oil either way, prices gonna increase. Puts for 6 months, leaps for 2 years on world and USA. Positions: PUTs for May 4 - 600 Strike

But as it turns out the only reason big bro wins fights is because of his sheer size, not because he actually knows how to fight and he just ran into the one dude who knows how to fight despite being undersized.

i mean their demand is literally stop bombing us and offer security guarantee. EU would need to stop their "allies" usa and israel from bombing. Kind of hard to do with two mad man going at it unrestrained. Kind of hard to negotiate for opening while the bombing still on going. It's asking them to give up their only leverage while the enemy is at the door knocking. It's a war of survival for them.

We've seen the one true thing that can move him is severe market conditions so who knows things could turn around. It's like going from simple mode to the three body problem when you add in Israel and Iran and all the political aspects that go with it. Can the USA just pull up anchor and leave Israel alone to deal with the aftermath? They are so entrenched as partners not in only this but just in general with how much AIPAC money is pumped into American politics. Will Iran be the "rational" one here and let things simmer down? In the past I would say that even though the regime is absolutely horrific they were shown to take that route (Not going scorched earth when Soulimani was assassinated, backing off after the 12 day war, holding negotiations where apparently they were gonna give up the Uranium before they were blind sided for the second time). My mind goes to will Iran once again try to come to the table or are they at the "we've had enough and this is a literal all or nothing fight for the regime/country as a whole" scenario. With two MEU's still in route to the area I'm really not buying this "we're almost done here" comments after market close today.

This is one of those weird scenarios if it was just mango I'd absolutely just be ripping gigantic dry powder stashes already but this ceasefire involves three parties. Bibi who has wanted this for 3 decades now and wants to finish the job, Mango/USA, and Iran who wants reparations and to punch them in the mouth be that economically if necessary hard enough so they don't come back in a year to try it again. Pretty hard to TACO out of that with a tweet. With all the moving parts \- MEU ships still en route to the area \- Israel not seeing this as a job finished \- Strait still closed \- Iran backed into a corner where they don't benefit from yes man'ing a win/ceasefire for the USA at all right now \- Israel keeps sliming a lot of the people who may have discussed a ceasefire/terms Also remember they literally bombed them while Iran was in the middle of talks to give up their enriched uranium. That's twice now they've been attacked while trying to broker a deal. Iran still seems like they are in max pain mode right now. They know how much damage they can inflict through economics alone. This is a dumb ass quagmire that someone clearly didn't war game properly for at all.
