The economic analysis of EU going 100% opening border post covid in order to boost business and tourism and the fallout of the mass migration from third world countries from Middle East and Africa would be studied by college econ classes for years to come. EU is in the midst of a demographic and political paradigm shift from non-europe aka non white population about to overtake the native white population in population to the sudden and heavily alt right shifting of dominant politics from resentment of European natives.

Feels like market has already been anticipating 2 more .25 pt rate cuts with the recent run up to ATH. Not sure what Powell can say that will cause new euphoria other than hints at more-or-larger cuts than expected. Also, I'm not sure he would even talk about that at an Econ Conference when the FOMC is in 2 weeks. I'm sitting out until EOD, but even I can't underestimate the strength of regards. I like to make money sooo...bring it on?

Can be a measure of economic demand. Slower Econ growth = less demand = lower price. But they totally manipulate the price for so many other reasons.

Its the tale of 2 cities economies. On one hand we have ever record breaking market numbers that just keeps chugging higher and higher bear econ reports be damned. On the other hand we are facing the harsh realities of bear econ reports with massive layoffs, ever lowering job openings, sticky sky high inflation, USD purchasing power going to the toilet, etc etc. Either we're heading for a massive correction soon or the underlying economics gets better to justify the high stock market prices there is no in between.
