I disagree. As long as fiat around the world keeps debasing, geopolitical instability and authoritarian tendencies continue to exist, demand for BTC will thrive. There will be persistent demand for zero storage cost, globally portable and censorship resistant store of value. That said, even without that the secular forces pushing for its success are too powerful to overcome.

The original purpose was never there if the conversion to fiat is controlled by a central source or an exchange to provide liquidity. Every purchase is tracked with chain of custody even when using tumblers. Now just connect to PLTR and real id, and anyone can be debanked, etc.

I feel like I need you to understand that gold is not a hedge against a crash, it's a hedge against USD / fiat currencies generally.
