Pretty sure there were posts here when the JPM and MS execs said there would be a correction and there are liquidity issues. Otherwise just pick any big news outlet like NYT and check the financial stuff a couple times a day; ignore all the other news. Things like the secret walstreet / fed meeting last Saturday was reported there; and the debt financing boom of the last 3 months. Scroll back thru those posts on an outlet and find one that retroactively reported all this and subscribe to them.

That's an insanely bullish report and super low layoffs. JPM fixed income: "We believe Fed has an easing bias". Slower cuts or not balance sheet expansion is coming very soon. As early as March FOMC.

We favor owning call spreads as a strong beat-and-raise from NVDA and positive commentary around supply could clear recent sector underperformance and could propel NVDA above its average historical move,β writes Bram Kaplan, head of America equity derivatives strategy at JPM.

Up 101% last two years. Made a lot on LRCX options. TSM, MU, NVDA, AMD, JPM, WFC, BAC, TSLA have been big winners. I bought a bunch of MO when the divy hit 10% and keep adding to it. Iβve taken some profits and have some ambitious sell orders in place right now hoping to lock in some really solid gains. Iβve started to roll money into divy stocks and will keep rotating in until Iβm at least 50% into these plays. Also averaging into PYPL leaps hoping to make a nice return on that in the next 12-18 months.

After this. I'm going to full port my IRA into JPM. It's the only safe place to be. Indices don't get bailed out. Bonds are debt instruments, too much interest rate risk. JP is the crook that runs this. I'm going to the dark side.

And my god look at that Jaime Dimon, thats a man who'll loosen his jaw for the good of the company. Rob his own grandma kinda man. >And man has it paid off. u/Brawmethius Lol I wouldn't go that far but yes, his relationship with regulators is very good. He is viewed as an elder statemen and he'll often have first dibs to help clean up any of the weaker banks that blow up periodically. Plus incredible deployment of capital, fortress principles, etc. Extremely good risk management and always attracting top talent. It's just a very well run bank.

Just spoke with a financial advisor st JPM about OpenAI being able to meet its spending commitments. They told me "there was always going to be a shortfall in how much money they had" and to not worry about it. This shit is a bubble lmfao. What do you mean you know theyd never have the money? You're investing on information you know to be false? What kind of answer is that?

Of the NASDAQ 100 components, 37 are down >20% from their 12-mth peak. Is 10-15% correction fair to expect? JP, MS CEOs say, Yes!
Out of the NASDAQ 100 components, 37 stocks are down more than 20% from their 12-month peaks. The average decline among these 37 stocks is about -32.5%. The most severe drawdown is TTD (The Trade Desk) at -66.6%, driven by broader ad tech sector pressures and macroeconomic slowdowns. Some others: LULU MSTR CHTR TEAM ...... Profit booking, estimates of disappointing ROI from AI investments (~75% failing), a softening labor market, and warnings from JPM and MS CEOs on policy-driven downturns are converging - "global equity markets could face a healthy correction of 10% to 15%."

Jamie Dimon warned of 'cockroaches' in the financial system. πͺ³
JPMorgan (JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon delivered a cryptic warning to the financial system after acknowledging missteps at his firm earlier this month. "When you see one cockroach, there's probably more," Dimon said on Oct. 14, referring to the bankruptcies of auto parts supplier First Brands and subprime auto lender Tricolor Holdings. "Everyone should be forewarned on this one." JPMorgan took an impairment of $170 million related to Tricolor, which Dimon said was not the firm's finest hour. Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) and Barclays disclosed credit impairments of $178 million and $147 million, respectively, related to Tricolor Holdings. Regional banks First Citizens Bancshares (FCNCA) and South State have called out charge-offs related to loans tied to First Brands of $82 million and $32.2 million, respectively, during analyst calls. Two of the country's other midsize lenders β Zions Bancorp (ZION) and Western Alliance Bancorp (WAL) β disclosed exposure and related issues in a separate alleged borrower fraud scheme. This week, European banks BNP Paribas and HSBC each called out specific write-downs of $100 million or more in loan exposure. While these disclosures shook investor confidence for a time earlier this month, sentiment appears to have stabilized. On Wednesday, Fed Chair Jerome Powell said the central bank is "paying close attention" to recent cracks emerging from the subprime auto loan market, but it doesn't yet view that deterioration as a "broader credit issue." "You've seen rising defaults in subprime credit for some time now, and now you've seen a number of subprime automobile credit institutions having significant losses, and some of those losses are now showing up on the books of banks,β Powell said in response to a question from Yahoo Finance's Jennifer Schonberger. "We're paying close attention. I don't see at this point a broader credit issue," Powell added. "It doesn't seem to be something that has very broad application across financial institutions. But, you know, we're going to be monitoring this quite carefully and making sure that that is the case." The Federal Reserve on Wednesday voted to lower interest rates by another 0.25% as the central bank weighs a slowing labor market and inflation that is easing but remains above its 2% target.
