They only went net positive cash flow/profits recently, after the stock was already 600 a share. Before, they were losing money. It made no sense to buy SNDK early on when it was below $100 a share.

Consider that the people who may be cash gang may not be all cash, that they want to preserve wealth rather than concern themselves with making wealth. If you have money you can play all the hands at the table but you need to net money in the end for it to be worthwhile and there are times when it’s easier to make money in the market. I had a sizable cash position, but I made money when it when the market is down and when it went up. I make money when it goes sideways. What I don’t want to do is risk wealth to make marginally more money, when it’s difficult to determine why the market is behaving as it is. It’s a risk adjusted position.

For my personal trading, 200k in one stock is significant. That's what I had in Amzn. Taking the net from the sale and putting into a damn money market fund at 3.5% is better than leaving it to rot in Amzn for a year plus. I don't take shots on what I consider to be high beta stocks.
