Earning call is at 2pm PDT. Why is everyone assuming they didn't meet expectations? It'll catapault.

I wanted to hold for earnings, but I've been daytrading it because pdt isn't a thing in canada, now I don't want to buy back at 215+, hopefully it drops back to 200 before earnings.

Imagine the pump and dumps after the PDT rule is changed. They will go all the way up and down within an hour lol

You get flagged for PDT selling a 0DTE option, I let it expire worthless to preserve future day trading opportunities, few 😎

Trading for someone who is starting gets a lot easier when there is no PDT rule. They should bring down the amount from 25k to 2k.

Maximize your weekly pdt limits and switch between cash/margin accounts when you can to get around it.

Had spy calls. Was actually making money on it somehow. Couldn't close it because of PDT (I didn't realize). Now they are half their value and I have to continue watching them decline. Ugh!

Call them and tell them to close the positions for you. PDT restrictions are not meant to lock you in. They prevent you placing new orders.

At 4pm my account was at $25,129... okay good to go my account won't be locked tomorrow... nope apparently that's not the time that counts.. apparently later at night it dropped to $24,975.29... yep, i'm still locked out from buying because of a $24.71 equity call. FUCK FINRA AND THE SEC.

wouldn't it be wild if the largest one day market collapse in history happened on the very day the PDT rule elimination goes into effect? Or the biggest one day rally in history, honestly I don't care either way

I've been on the poor side of the 25k PDT protection and the not poor side. I 100% believe that it's there as a way to keep people without money from getting money. Options are SO much easier when I can sell of a 20% return from a position I opened three hours ago instead of having to wait for the next day and hoping things stay as they are.

today would be a great day for the SEC to remove the PDT rule :)
