I bought 9k worth of qqq puts expiring tomorrow 5 minutes before market close and planned on holding them over night. About 5 minutes before options could no longer be traded, it had gained $1100 and I ended up selling.  It will dump tonight because of this. Qqq never drops when I hold puts overnight but it does drop on the days that I decide to sit it out.

The issue with buying puts right now is that essentially every economic headwind is manufactured and can be corrected in minutes. Tariffs, the Iran war, poor jobs numbers, etc - they are all basically self inflicted for various domestic and foreign agendas, and a small number of people have the ability to do a complete 180 when it becomes expedient. If tomorrow is red, I’m going all in on NVDA and QQQ for the long haul, because I don’t want to miss out on the face melting rally whenever it does happen.
